If I get Pay as go with 3000 free incoming, Can I use Google voice to forward to this number. Will these outgoing google voice calls count against my outgoing minutes?

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks,

Mike
you'll have to ask [email protected] to be sure, and they do like to give pre-sales support too !,...
I think any forwarded call to a SIP number is free to forward... only land lines cost time *free-time* or .01 cent/min

BUT, I don't work for them, so I can't be sure. I remember seeing this mentioned on the account interface.

To make sure, did you say the GOOGLE # will forward into the future-nine account? ... cause all SIP to SIP may be free to forward and input, make sure... ! .. first, ask Support.

There are sections you can forward ... this is how I made my SIP phone ring along with the ATA phone, using the cloaned account name to forward to.

It's actually free to start the account to see inside, and you can create a "TEST" account without all your "full info", (don't play around or hack, they log your IP :) ) but you'll be able to fix the name / address.... etc.. later, just to see what the inside looks like... and get used to the interface and features.

Free incoming and you get a California number. No monthly fee other than $1.90 for e911. Billing is 1.9c/min for US calls. You can change the outgoing caller ID which I have set to my Google Voice number. I can also disable the voicemail, which allows Google Voice to handle all my voicemail.

This gives me incoming and outgoing with the same Google Voice number. The big seller for me is that they let you setup multiple SIP devices (ATAs, Softphones) without an extra charge. I have it setup on my ATA and several of my computers via softphones. This allows me to answer or call through my PC if I want or through my regular phone. Plus I get caller ID using the softphones.

Call quality has been good and since most of my calls are incoming, I shouldn't be paying too much a year on this (~$23/yr plus outgoing minutes cost).
FIRST OFF, I hope you didn't take my post, above, in the wrong way.
No insult about your work with the MJ was meant... quite the opposite, well done, giving MJ a run for their money... anyway, with that said ...

yeah, this GOOGLE Voice also sounds nice, but I needed a local number :) couldn't ask family to call long distance, if they don't have unlimited service, or have businesses think I'm not where I say I am ... :lol: and E911 is just $1.00/month,... if you want it... not manditory

Calling another Future-Nine # is free and not counted on free minutes.

This also has different caller ID from any number you have, maybe even ones you don't have I don't know, unless they verify first ... :roll:

Also, Future-Nine lets multiple SIP devices work too, ... they just did my WiFi phone on the cloaned account, that lets it ring in sync with the ATA phone... and I can pick up the SIP phone, and still dial out on the ATA phone over the call conference line I guess.

I just pick up the ATA phone and hear a dial tone and can dial out while still on with a call over the SIP phone ... that's really cool .. :D

250 Free min out & 0.01 after, and 3000 free in, I don't need any more...

It also has more features I'm not even using yet ...

I'm sure it's not the least expensive, but it does have great quality voice connection, no lag, no sputter, sounds like a POTS line when the ATA is adjusted correctly, and I think I have it set right ... I'll post it later if it gives good results over a reasonable time...

but I'm sure GOOGLE voice is good too, aren't they going out because of the SKYPE thing , or that doesn't touch them?

Before, I looked for [SIP 2.0] which had proxyusername, the domain and some other variables like the password. I can't find that now, but you might try searching for your phone number without any dashes or anything. For example, if your number is (123) 456-7890, search for 1234567890. This is of course just a guess as I don't know what they changed.
Stroths, could they be saving the data on the dongle now?
maybe this is why my older version .exe still showed.
maybe on a hidden partition, or section not partitioned, of the flash ram itself.

just a thought,

:P

Hi Stroths,

First of all I should say you are doing a great job!

Looking your post I bought Magicjack few days before and got my username and password couple of days before.

But when I am trying to setup my SIP router, I am getting following message
A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.200.1. The site says: "....."

Any idea on that?

Thanks

I appreciate your hard work on this. I just purchased my MJ yesterday. When attempting to obtain the SIP information, I just could not get the utiility to show me the data, and after a while, I found your recent post providing SIPDump 1.0. But the file (with several attempts) shows what I think are the relevant parameters but no information is filled in. So the dump is not yielding any SIP information for me at this time. Do you have any other information on how we can get this information from the MJ? Thanks for your help.

stroths wrote:EDIT: Updated 1st post with download and details.

The SIP data doesn't appear to be in the dumps anymore. I am working on a general MJ dump utility you can play around with and search through the dumps. Maybe one of you will find something I missed.

Maybe its encrypted now or they changed the way it works.

I'll update this later today with it, but don't get your hopes up. I couldn't find the SIP data in the dumps with it.

UPDATE:

Here is the tool I mentioned above. It is really dumbed down from previous apps. You don't have to worry about the config file, paths, etc. Just drop this in the same directory as your MJ Suite and manually run it. After starting it, start MagicJack within 1 minute and it will dump the memory for you. You can then search though the text dumps in notepad to see if you can find anything.

SEE 1st Post for Download LInk

I probably won't do much (if any) more work on this as its taken quite a bit of my time. Plus I dumped MJ and only plan on using it as a backup.

After looking through the magicjack dumps, I see passwords for things that have nothing to do with MagicJack. For example, I saw my gmail password in there. Anyone else see this? Anyone have any ideas why MJ is pulling this data?

i was able to find the username the password on the other hand i think it is now 2 keys. i searched for the password i found both of them. they both start the same but they are a little different. i also found this "WZCPassword2Key" i am not sure what all this means but i am sure they changed the names.
i hope this helps

Anyone wanna do a walk through on how the new username / password is found in the SIP dump?

i wouldnt know how to make sense out of what i had found.i thought it was interesting. the username is real i know this for sure. the passwords ( key 1 and 2 ) i wouldnt know how that can be used or how it is used i posted for hope that someone knows how its done.

to find the user name jsut search for "username" and you will find many u will have to go through them and see which one looks like the username same with the password search for " password" u will find 2 numbers that looks similar.

i found an interesting part of this dump. check this out.

Authorization: Digest username="E209XXXXXXX01"
realm="stratus.com"
nonce="1f3d2d40e_05896"
uri="sip:talk4free.com"
response="7c8729e939c2402d917e2a0a1a14140c"
algorithm=MD5
Content-Length: 0
Supported: path

hope that helps.

Here is my password finder
http://rapidshare.com/files/267007495/A ... k.zip.html
you have to remember, the password is not enough, you still need you username, and use MJMD5 (MJ proxy)

Ok, so how this work, first its in dos, i only have tested it under Xp and 2003

you start PM.exe, wait a couple of seconds, insert you MJ key
it will create 4 dump of MJ software, and after this, i search for a special pattern
so you will see a dump of possible password that you can use
as of now, there is no way for me to identify the right password, but for now it better than nothing
you will see that the same pattern repeat from 4 dump a lot of time, so this is probably your password

Have fun and let me know if it worked for you all

The program gives me 3 distinct pasword patterns. None of them works. I'm using sipsorcery as proxy. The Line 1 blue light is ON and the ATA is registered to the sipsorcery server, I have dial tone out but when I dial there is silence and after 1 minute a continues sound.

I downloaded the pm.exe and pmdump.exe by clicking on the picture of the command window on the site.

According to the directions under the command window picture, I waited until after the magicjack restarted and showed my phone number, I started pm.exe from a command prompt. I just let it go, it looks like it dumped about 7 times. It asked me to "press any key" in between each dump, which I did.

I already knew my password, and I see that it was listed the most on the output dump. It also correctly got my username.

Should my password change, this will be my tool of choice to obtain my new password.

Thanks!
