Just put Siphon-2.3rc4.deb to
/private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
( Make sure your type exactly like above, especially the CAPPITAL Letter )
Reboot your device and it should work fine.

Open WinSCP and login to your iPod Touch/iPhone
Put your .deb application file in the "private/var/tmp" folder
In WinSCP hold Ctrl and press T, go forward with the warnings and type this command
dpkg -i /tmp/Siphon.deb (make sure you type the correct app name)
Installation of the file will start
Now respring your iPod Touch/iPhone
Install 2x siphon app

Does anyone know how to install 2 copies of the siphon app? Just so I can use it with 2 voip providers? Its a hassle re-typing all the settings, username, password, etc everytime I need to switch providers. Much thanks!
Iphone MJMD5

I personally own two magic jacks. I have used mdmj5 on multiple routers flashed with ddwrt firmware. Also I have used mjmd5 on a windows pc. One of my magicjacks require mjmd5 authentication. The other does not require mjmd5 WHATSOEVER. So those of you that can get siphon working on your jailbroken Iphone must NOT have a majicjack with mjmd5 authentication. Otherwise I am missing something but when I run a ddwrt flashed router with mjmd5 or a pc with mjmd5 running and point siphon to that ip i.e. 192.168.1.1:5070 for the server setting of siphon it works EVERYTIME. But when I try to use any combination of proxy01.yourcity.talk4free.com:5070 or xxx.xx.xxx:5070 it just DOESNT WORK. Which tells me siphon doesnt have mdmj5 built in or I have a super duper one of a kind nonworking iphone incompatible with siphon's supposed mjmd5 built in switch. Hard to belive that could be the case. So what is needed in my opinion is either mjmd5 built in to siphon OR
Can someone make a mjmd5 app or can someone please make this into a deb? So we can install it on the iphone? I have what I belive the source file here from a .ipkg extension. I belive if it is converted to .deb we can install it onto a iphone then run mjmd5 directly on the iphone just like we can run it on the ddwrt router firmware. Please port this asap then we can have magic jack on the iphone using siphon. I have used siphon on my ddwrt flashed router with mjmd5 and it works perfectly so why wouldn't it on a iphone if we had the deb! There has to be a linux guru out there that can do this easily! Or a mac nut that can whip up a quick app that will give all of us somesweet ass mobile magicjack action!

Why isnt there a Iphone Magicjack Section?
I installed siphon from cydia first ver2. something I then used ssh into my iphone and installed 2.3rc4 overwriting 2. whatever. I then uninstalled siphon from cydia and reinstalled 2.3rc4 when I went into the settings of siphon all my settings were still there is this a bug that is preventing the mjmd5 from working? I dunno just a thought I just dont want to have to reinstall my iphone to 3.1.3 then jailbreak it again just to see if that is the issue. If your trying to do this for the first time I highly reccomend installing the app NOT FROM CYDIA but from here maybe this will help some:
http://code.google.com/p/siphon/
Once you have it on your iphone you can then use this command to install it
dpkg -i yourfilename.deb

Ok, so I have finally got siphone 2.3rc4 working just fine with my jailbroken iphone 3g running 3.1.3 firmware...
Install it with winSCP as noted above...
In the iPhone settings icon, goto Siphon.
Account: E#########01 (#'s representing your 10 digit MJ#)
Password: Your 20 character MJ password retrieved from the process
Server: talk4free.com
(ADVANCED SETTINGS)
Reg timeout: 3600
Proxy Server: proxy1.washington.talk4free.com:5070
Enable Nat ((ON))
Auth Username: E##########01
MagicJack ((ON))
(PHONE SETTINGS)
Nothing changed
(NetworK)
Only changed Siphon over EDGE/3G ((ON))
--------------------------------------------------------------
Load Siphon, on the top left should show talk4free.com
and on the right should show CONNECTED
Dial your number and you're good to go...
And here's an interesting fact...
I made a call with Siphon on my iphone, and I could
simultaneously make another call from the magic jack phone itself,
thus making two separate calls at the same time...

Kind of hard to follow this post. It seems like you installed the wrong version and uninstalled it and installed the beta version off of the google code. There inst a need for someone to create an MJMD5 app to run on IOS because SIPHON dose this just fine. Its rare but some magicjacks dont require MJMD5. I have included Screen shots of a correct configuration you will need to substitute your information with mine. Remember that the password is case sensitive, also not all the user names end with 01. I hope this helps you out.

Is this still working on 3G Iphones?

I'd like to revive this thread. I've been trying to get the MJ to work with the latest build of Siphon with no luck. Getting a credentials failed to authenticate.
I know there's alot of talk about rotating passwords, but everytime I do a dump, I get the same password.
My settings are exactly like the screenshots from a few posts ago, and I've even fiddled with them some more with no luck.
Has anyone got this working as of late?
Thanks!!

This stopped working for me the other day.
I checked, and sure enough, my password had changed.
Got the new password, plugged it into Siphon, still getting credential failed.
Bah!
