I saw this a few weeks and posted here but I THINK this is the one where they charge you every month, something like 10 or 15 bucks.. But this is a better price than what I posted..Darkman90808 wrote:http://www.woot.com/

Same here all is well and my MJ works well.. IF and when they start blocking whom I call then it is uh oh time....I just renewed for yr 3 this past Aug.. So hopefully IF they start blocking me it will be closer to next Aug.. BUT I have to admit that off was VERY tempting to get the Duo. My buddy did and is waiting for it to arrive.Darkman90808 wrote:Yeah, I think if I were to do anything at the moment, it would be the Nettalk device, but I'm really pretty happy with my system for now.
Even my MagicJack's seem to be working well, knock on wood. I just got off the phone with two different government agencies and the calls were flawless.

lets be honest here. I wonder how many people on here are just totally frustrated with their MJ's and are willing to jump ship and go over to the NT or Ooma now? I know if I had the extra money to spend, I certainly at the very least would give the NT a go. I mean, don't get me wrong, for what the MJ costs, I guess it has served its purpose for me. Not always perfect, thats for sure, but it filled the void of letting the old landline go. But now after messing with it for a year, because my one MJ is due to renew at the end of this month, I see how much work just does go into trying to get it to work ok, and how much is involved in order to keep or should I say try to keep it working up to what we all have come to accept as ok. I know I become frustated with it when I get on here and read how some of you have it working as well as a landline. As for me, I don't think I have ever achieved that yet in a year. I don't know much about this NT duo and even less about the Ooma, but the NT to me sounds like the way to go. I don't want to pay a monthly bill. That's why I bought the MJ to begin with, so if I take the leap, it will be to NT next. I still have my 2nd MJ here that is still within the time frame to return it to the store that I bought it from. I must say that offer for the NT that was going on a few days ago, was very tempting, but I did not make it in under the wire. I still have a little more time to play with here. When I start getting closer to my time running out, I'm sure then I will be giving NT some serious thought....

I don't have ANY problems with MJ and just a minor problem with NT ( Business Related ) which i think will be taken care of today. I also purchased a Ooma Telo thru Bestbuy for the BIG $1.99.99 plus florida tax came to around $212.00 and change. IMO.....I am impressed with the Ooma's equipment quality and there voice quality is TOP notch. IMO there are many ways to install but i prefered to do between the modem and Router install for best quality. The Ooma has ONLY ONE QOS setting and it works WELL. You take a test of your computers average upload speed and then do the math Upload average X .85 = QOS Setting. This makes Ooma 85% of the upload speeds priority to the device. IMO i love it, YES there is a FCC FEE. For me it's $3.84 a month. Plus i have extras i pay for but thats what i wanted. Tech support on phone i give IMO 100%. Quality and sound as equal or better then a landline. CONS: They want you to pay $1.00 for 411, But i had away around that and they have that blocked. If you call 212-555.1212 you can get free 411 and they have it that if u call that it's $1.00. With that all said the company has been around for 5 yrs. For those people and there is NOTHING wrong with you that want it ALL for NOTHING this is'nt for you and those that only run WIFI this device can not be used. It does glow 9 bright blue buttons which even can be turned down. IMO is a cross between a John Doe VOIP system/ Commerical VOIP System. In one day and in 6 hours of talking there was NOT even one hiccup period. I also did'nt need the QOS but i did it because it's there. IMO i rate this product a 9.8 out of 10 but i also give the MJ a 9.5 out of 10. A liitle less because MJ company gives ppl the run around etc and in MOST cases IMO it takes work for most MJ's to walk the walk to say. Again so there is NO disputes all this is IMO and no one eles's!. This review of mine is for the Ooma Telo
It's nice hear someone say something good about a company for a change.gashliquor wrote:I don't have ANY problems with MJ and just a minor problem with NT ( Business Related ) which i think will be taken care of today. P.S. I also may add not shown in the pic because florida lightening capital of the word if i lose power of ns (Nano secs ). The entire system plus the computer system even though not needed will run 10 hours off a generator wired to the fuse box in the garage. Only way im shut down is if the cable co shuts down im sunk until they come up. So when others homes are out i have lights satellite and computer and everything else almost for 10 hours. But i can go days i say 10 hrs because generator hold enough gas only to run 10 hrs. So if need be i'd take gas out of car or scoots to prolong the time. I never had to use ever over 3 hrs. I have seen myself out for 2 weeks once on NY.

You know in a personal way im a very money minded person. I just can't come up with a true answer to why Dan would let his product just lay dead to say. ( IMO he should have more features, Lighten Up the way MJ is run and come out with some NEW hardware. I mean the answer IMO i don't beleive is that he has $ crawling out of his ears that he don't care. But what ever the real deal is i can almost bet he makes more then all the VOIP and trust me his ad's on TV etc and in store sales is'nt cheap. MJ and Ooma are sold in stores not NT. But again if i had billions or many millions if the Co went under i would'nt care as i got what they say my Mo' Money. Or maybe there will be a suprise suprise from MJ with a new hardware device now that would be cool but his history shows that this is'nt going to happen. Off topic...Ooma when you register you must enter a CC. Well thats ok and all....I noticed a $10.00 charge and called them and said whats this $10.00 you took. There answer: Sir the $10.00 is to make sure your CC is valid. Most companys do a penny or one buck. They did return the $10.00 though and it will be posted back to my CC in a few days just wierd. I mean if they goto bill the CC and funds are not there then you get shut off or some other measure. I SWEAR i'll pay Ooma your $3.84 Federal Tax
