Remember when you get it runnign you can register multiple trunks from my service for free by just changing the registration port ie 5061 instead of 5060 which will allow multiple inbound and outbound calls at the same time.

It is really nice when you have a gf talking to her friends and you are trying to conduct business.

Yes i know all about it, At this tme im working on the Multimedia it's out of this world im feeding it Blu-Ray XviD files and MKV ( Matroska ) Files for pure 1080P all for free and some Blu-Ray screeners in Blu-Ray months B4 there out in the movies or DVD for that matter, Just pure fantastic. Have to add one more HDTV/Monitor on wall which will make the 5th but the next one will be 70 plus inches with the new 1.8 dual core by Acer and i need to build another Quad core after the holiday. I like to keep up with the Jones'.

I knew it was over 1G, But for how much i use asterisks is why i make my own as it's not worth the money to me but it's a great piece of equipment if your in business etc. The features i'd use just don't pay. That unit is real nice and i could afford it but the use would not be very much thats why i'll build my own with freeware to mess with a little. Digium is a well known box but for my use it would just be a waste of money. If it was like between 2-5 hundred then i'd think different and i don't buy used anything really. I have 5 ATA's going now and for 100Mbps down and 15 Mbps up i can run them all plus a home full of computers without a burp

Someone gave that to me for testing purposes. I have had it for a little while its a nice little box but has some memory leaks. Mine is super overkill

it only has a few trunks that don't get used lol I unplugged it for the picture.

, There one heck of a box but all of them run over 1G easy. I'd buy it if the price was right. The one i was looking at was $1600.00 and when i seen it the price turned me off because i can do other things with that kind of cash

Yeah i use it for heavy duty multimedia, I never seen a Thin Client with 4GB Ram. Actually in the U.S. this computer can be found usually at 1.6GHZ with 1-2GB Ram and only a 160GB HDD. In canada the 1.6 Dual Core and 4GB Ram and 500GB HDD is found easy. I had this shipped from canada to the U.S. to me, I also overclocked it and am using it right now typing to you on a 42" 1080P screen and watching TV at the same time on another HDTV. It's pretty damn fast and runs XviDs and MKV like it was nothing in full 1080P, It's thin but not a Thin Client. I won't even use a think clinet with a MJ, It's either SIP or nothing

That asterisks box i'd buy it but the price is the problem not the money. For the amount of asterisk im going to use what i have is perfect but i'd still buy that box if there prices were different is what im saying. I have over 20 computers now

Plus i pushed this machine to 2GHZ and no problem but backed it down to 1.8 and CPU is still only 61 degrees F and i live in florida. Like i own 3 Harley Davidsons but with those it's not like jap junk it's money in the bank

2 are custom which are mine and some dude needed money so i stole a 18G bike for 6G

I would like to leave the SIP things to voipmyway and just develop the interfaces (posted a thread on that already - in search of cheap phone adaptors)

We are hosting over 200 free accounts on a quad core server that has 2 gig of mem. We are running free pbx and asterisk and the cpu is only at 15%

At home I run my service on a vmware of PBX in a flash with only 512 mb of ram and it holds at 25% used and calls work great.

You don't need much for asterisk unless you plan to have tons of multiple calls at the same time.

Hardware is nice but as you can see 1250 is a bit steep for some.

old pc around 200 to 300 dollars and a old sipura 20 dollars or less on eBay and you can have a full phone system as well as be able to connect analog lines.

If you want a fxo or fxs card you cna get them for 125 + on ebay as well and not get the sipura. All depends how big your setup is.

Im pure NYer, I lived in Garden Grove for about a year and have family there. I was around 29 yrs old back then and really did'nt care for CA, So went back to NY. Me and the Acer are over the 3610 with 500GB HDD and 4 GIG's of memory gets shipped out tomorrow

I got rid of the Acer to a friend in NY, Im building a HTPC with 16GB DDR3 1600 Corsair and the total system will be overclocked using a ASRock Mobo. The damn thing costing me near $1700.00 with the shit im putting in it, 2TB HDD and running 4 OS's. I'll post pics when im done. The Video alone was 400,00 bux, The Acer is ok but im into top notch hardware and overclocking and water cooling etc. the HTPC for 38 LBS is gonna sing with whatever i want to do on a 60 inch HDTV 1080P Screen

Ack, are you saying you were unhappy with the Acer solution?

I have a 32G SSD coming with it, I planned on removing the hard drive to make it quieter and generate less heat.

Actually my Acer came from canada, Thats where you find the R3610 with 500GB HDD and 4GB of memory easy, It's a great machine. However like i said b4 my living room alone is 1500 SQ feet and have 4 HDTV's on swivels mounted on the walls here like a sports bar. Im into horse power etc, I do alot of video stuff like i get DVD's that are released for awards only and not for the public so i see movies 2 months b4 there in the movies etc. I make XviDs, MKV's etc. This box will be built in a Thermaquake HTPC box with two Pioneer BDR-206 Blu-Ray Burners etc, Actually it will out do 99.9% of home computers but built in a HTPC Box ( HomeTheatre PC ). It will kill for gaming or anything else i want to do. The Acer is fine but it will not do what this can, Actually im on the Acer now b4 i ship it out

I've been searching for an inexpensive solution. That is what Asterisk is all about.
