Issie With Wyse V90 (1GB MHz - 512MB drive - 256MB RAM

Hi,

My problem is I plug in MJ and it starts to configure then a window pop up stating "The system has run out of available memory/no virtual memory, and will reboot shortly.
Then system shuts down is initiated by NT Authority\System.
I had already re imaged prior to this and was also getting a "USB host controller has run out of bandwidth error.
Any ideas on how to get MJ to work?

Replacing your 256M RAM with a 512M would help.....definitely. In lieu of that, try reducing the size of your RAM drive to 8M or so. This will free up a little more RAM, hopefully just enough to allow the install of the MJ software.

Also, if Wyse uses an EWF like the hp units do, you could turn that off and let the MJ software install directly onto the flash drive. I have no experience with the Wyse thin clients, only the hp's so this idea may not even be possible.

Thank you! I will do that. I just ordered a 1GB RAM and 1 GB Flash Module. And yes the WYSE does have a Write Filter similar to HP.

Be sure your thin client can support that large of a flash and memory. There's prolly not an issue with the 1G flash but, for example, the HP t5700 will not support a RAM SoDIMM chip larger than 512M. Also, there are issues installing HP's version of XPe on a flash drive larger than a gig. Something about propietry rights or some such. Do a search on this forum for more on that issue.

So I unplugged and waited 20 sec and tried again and now I get error that MJ cannot connect to Internet - yet I have a good IP address and can ping websites - firewall is off and no AV installed.

Any other suggestions?

Is the EWF disabled? Also, with one gig RAM, you should be able to take your ramdrive up to 64M and still have plenty of room for MJ to install.

Try those two things and see what happens.

OK. Yes the MJ works on a laptop. I did increase ram drive to 64. But still no luck. I will increase 512 Flash drive to 1GB and try. If not I am going with HPT5710 i just won on Ebay!
