Can't complete calls to 641 area code
The problem is that when I dial 641 numbers to reach family back in south central Iowa, I get 2 quick busy signals then nothing.I have did the tech chat thing, they assure me they are working on it. I have my doubts. I have talked to at least 4 different people. At any rate I must say their tech support and customer service skills suck out loud. My hope is that someone on this forum has had this problem and resolved it. Any ideas would be appreciated. A little frustrated with my notsomagicjack.

Re: Can't complete calls to 641 area code
You could very well be SOL. That is "pretty close" to the classic sign of calls being blocked by MagicJack (it's usually 3 busy signals). It's not the 641 area code, it would be an exchange within that area code.magicmitch wrote:The problem is that when I dial 641 numbers to reach family back in south central Iowa, I get 2 quick busy signals then nothing.I have did the tech chat thing, they assure me they are working on it. I refer you to here:

and you will get more details than you need.
On page 31 is this list:

It's not up-to-date since MJ is always blocking new and un-blocking old. The only 641 exchange listed is 472, but that means nothing, that's only what has been reported by other posters.
The only thing that may point to another issue is that they have been following up some but not all of the blocked exchanges with one of two recordings. So it could be something else, but it ain't looking good. Good luck
