Question...my MJ number shows different on CID

Sometimes when my wife calls me at work (using MJ), I see a totally different number show on my CID...it's not my MJ number. Anyone else notice this with their number?

How does your wife call you at work? Does she use an 800 number to reach you? Does your company have a PBX or large phone system?

If an 800 number, you'll likely get a different number than your own mJ number. Something like 585-698-1375 is what you might see if that was the case...

If your company has a PBX (large phone system), they could have settings that tamper with the caller ID. You'll probably tell me that you don't have problems when anyone else calls, though.

And, of course, there's always the question: "Has the wife been using Call Spoofer?"

Yes, my work does have a large phone system, and that is the exact number that shows (must have been discussed before). It is wierd though, my MJ number used to show correctly.

If you have a PRI, it probably is using ANI caller ID and just showing the number of the trunk your magic jack made the call on.
