MagicJack account

My name is Zlatan, and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I bought used magicjack and I've registered and created new account. I have installed softphone on my computer. Here is the problem. Without magicjack connected to PC, I'm able to log in to my account. The moment I connect magicjack to my PC, it logs out, then I try to log in again, but it doesn't recognize my account.

Can anyone please tell me what is the cause, and what should I do to make it work?

This is why you do not buy a USED MJ, well one of the reasons anyway. All you needed to do was a search PRIOR to buying the used MJ. All I can suggest is you try to contact MJ online support ( chat) and see if they can help. I am pretty sure they will tell you no, but all you can do is try and see.

Can you tell me please, if I subscribe and get U.S. phone number, instead of magicJack phone number, can I use it with soft-phone on my laptop, without magicJack hardware connected to it?

All I need is a U.S. phone number on my laptop. Is whistlephone or voipmyway offering that? Any other provider/software?
