New Customer Questions

Post by hermes »

Hi, I currently subscribe to Verizon DSL & limited telephone service for a monthly cost of about $95.00/month.
I'm planning to drop Verizon then subscribe to Comcast Internet service ($45.00) and MagicJack. Can I plug in Magic Jack into router and not the PC? Can I switch my current phone number to Magic Jack?

I really don't know what questions to ask but this a start.

Thanks

MJ needs a PC with an OS to run, so no you can not just plug your MJ into your Router. HOWEVER there is "supposed" to be a new MJ released soon called MJ Plus which will do exactly what you are asking. You do not need your PC on for your MJ to work.
As far as you porting your number go to the MJ faq section on their web page and you can apply for number porting....
