Now that you no longer need a computer running 24/7...the most important feature, at least to me and I'm sure a lot of people out there as well, is can we port our existing land line home phone number, or any number for that matter, to the new Magic Jack Plus. This will be the last factor in my decision to purchase this. I know they have promised this feature for a while now, I can only hope that they deliver.

And yes, I am aware of the google option. I've heard it way too many times now, and the service won't be free after this year ends. I must keep my family's current number.

Any clue that may hint to this will surely make my day.

For the record, Google has dropped any reference to GV only being free until the end of the year for over a month now.

It obviously doesn't mean that they won't start charging, but bear in mind at one time it was only going to be free until the end of 2010.
