Callers cannot HEAR me, cuts out

Any MJ user having complaints your callers cannot hear your conversation but you can hear them just fine? I am (told) they get screeching and my voice is coming in and out) and then nothing. Of course I have switched phones around both cordless and conventional, same results. I have a new Mac Mini OS X 10.6.7 so it should work well. As for my ISP all is well, using the Airport (Mac) with excellent signal. Help anyone?
