You could just go the route of using irc (Internet Relay Chat). The nice thing about IRC is that there are plenty of free clients out there (I imagine a lot of people use pidgin/gaim for Instant Messaging already, which has support for IRC), since it has been around for almost 20 years....

For those of you who do not want to download a free client, there are always web based versions like http://magicchat.x10hosting.com... (This link automatically logs into irc and enters the room #magicJack...)

Just another idea...

Just use any IRC client, and connect to:

server: irc.freenode.net
channel: #magicjack

For example, here is a free web based irc client... Just plug in the info above...

If you are trying to use the old chat room, that is still available if you hack your hosts file, add the line:

Code: Select all

65.110.6.50     magicjack.com

Then simply go to http://magicjack.com/chat/

Yeah I am not retarded.. I was using IRC before... that is chat internet relay CHAT thanks... But yeah I think I am gonna do something soon with Mibbit near thanksgiving when i have a week off from school. pass on that ircd's.. they get hacked to easily.. and no i do not care what kinda protection you have.. theres nothing wrong with efnet or freenode....
