I have tried my MJ from both a desktop using hardwired highspeed at home and work and it works great. I tried using my MJ from my laptop using wireless internet and its very garbled. Is there any way to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

It your wireless Internet is using a cellular modem, you are probably out of luck for a couple of years. Assuming it's normal Wi-Fi, test MJ on your laptop with a wired connection, to eliminate the possibility of a driver issue, etc. Assuming that works fine:
If you have administrative control over the access point, try channels 1, 6, and 11, or try placing it on a high shelf away from other objects. Other ways to improve reception include an external gain antenna, a unit with higher power, one with a more advanced protocol, or better firmware.
Otherwise, see if you can find a spot for your laptop with better reception. If so, a USB Wi-Fi dongle with a long USB cable may let you put the dongle where reception is good, while keeping the laptop where you want to use it.

im using a cellular modem.. via ATT 3G service.. works great ..
one thing to do is ALT-control-delete.. --> task manager.. under process find magic jack,, change priority to high..
helped me a lot.
only downside is that the setting will NOT "save" after a shutdown.. someone here posted an ap that does save it..

With some tweaking on your router and on your pc you will get a decent phone service with MJ but it will never be equal to a direct cat5 cable connection due to the instability of wireless network,I have tested different wireless setups with different wireless devices and nothing beats a solid fast and constant internet connection.
help! I am running out of USB ports!!!!!!!!
