Outgoing Calls Don't Ring/Connect

Post by ruffy »

My outgoing call does not connect. I dial the number and hear no ring.

This happens on occasion and if I redial once or twice or 3 times, it'll work. But now it hasn't worked after 10 times.

MJ sometimes does that if the line you are calling is busy. No ring, no busy signal and then you get a dial tone.. So it is possible that is what is happening to you and when you call back their line is now free. Next time that happens ask they party to whom you are calling if they were on the phone. That is what I did when I first got my MJ 3 years ago and realized the line was busy.

Thanks bitstopjoe;

I don't think the busy state is the reason - because I
was calling, first a school, then, my own, other phone,
and the same no ring each time.

What I did this time was reset my thin client twice, and
that worked.

This has been happening to me the past couple of weeks too. Sometimes, but not always, it helps to reboot the dongle.
