Problem all day

Post by puterluver »

The middle screen states:

Please connect to the internet and double click here.

When I do it states:

Magicjack was unable to connect to our registration server.
Please check your internet connection. If you can browse other web pages, it means our server is temporarily down. Please restart the phone
in a few minutes if it is not ready to call.

We appologize for any inconvenience.

I tried restarting, it did not work. I moved it to my other computer, it would not even load upon start up. Back on my main computer it is still
telling me the server is still not working. It will not download my contacts, and I cannot make a call.

Is it the server? Or are there other problems. This has been going on all day.

No issues here today. If you can otherwise connect to the internet okay, it could very well their server. I don't follow it all that closely, but I did think that if one was down you would get moved on to another.

Just wondering. Did you by chance receive the latest update version 2.0.11 or are you still running 2.0.8 ?

I keep looking at the properties, but cannot find the version. Can you tell me where it is located:

Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.

Open up the menu on the soft-phone. It's listed near the bottom.

Having same problem, running 2.0.11.
Win 7 64 bit.

Receiving [error 3]

Also saying if you can still view web pages a server may be down, wondering if this is the case.

The soft-phone is the MJ dialer on your computer. Click on the menu tab on the top right. Near the bottom of the menu that opens up, is the version of MJ you are using. It should be listed right after "Terms of Service", and will probably say either magicJack 2.0.8 or 2.0.11, followed by your serial number, probably A921xxxxxxxxxx.

Well I have given up.

Here is the final chat which also failed.

You are now chatting with 'Ivan'

Your Issue ID for this chat
Ivan: Hi, this is Ivan

I have am going on 4 hours of chat. Over an hour last night and I started around 8:40 am today. We have deleted software, cleaned ports, upgraded, and a large variety of other methods, and it keeps coming up as either: Installer cannot deploy the file. Access is denied or the file is being used by the system or other application. Or when I boot up it at first it has a link to your website which states the server is down and says to restart later. Restarting comes up with the other message. The last guy signed onto my computer and either quit or accidently shut himself down. He went through several steps but nothing accomplished. The same thing came up:

Installer cannot deploy the file. Access is denied or the file is being used by the system or other application.

I am sure the device is bad. How can you tell if the device is bad? I want to replace it if necessary.

Ivan: I will login to your computer to be able to fix this issue

Ivan: http://images.DELETED. Click the link above

Done

He had me restart the computer and I warned that I would lose him. The other guy must of signed off too. It does not work at all now.

I guess I will putchase another and maintain my phone number. I am very disappointed in the chat system. It did not work and each change for chatter took a long wait time. I am disgusted.
