Hello
For years I've been RDP'ing to my Windows machine without problems. I can come and go from local console, to RDP and back. No issues ever.
I installed magicJack 2 days ago and things have been acting weird. When I RDP to my machine from my laptop, and then I come into my computer room to go local, my monitors/mouse/keyboard are all locked up and unresponsive. However RDP is working fine.
If I reboot, then life is good.
I'm attributing this change to the magicJack software. So I'm trying the MJ service to see if this will help eliminate the issue.
Has anyone else seen this?

Interesting theory. One to look into I suppose. Could explain why my monitors don't come out of sleep mode too, since the keyboard and mouse are "inactive".laserjobs wrote:Do you think it might be a USB issue?
Maybe magicjack is pulling to much power on the port for the other devices?
I have a powered USB hub, I'll give that a try
Just wanted to share that I installed the MJ service and so far so good with the RDP sessions. Not sure if the actual software running was doing something? But all good for now.drsprite wrote:Interesting theory. One to look into I suppose.
