Switch & half duplex

Running MJ+ through a switch, should it be at half duplex? Belkin router then the switch, the comp. runs at full duplex. The MJ+ side runs half duplex.

I am new at this. How do you get half duplex using the switch?

The switch does it through the circuts. The switch decides what is what. Why, I don't know

If the device supports it I highly recommend full duplex for VoIP phone calls.

Yes, I thought that so there was no way to change it as the switch just takes care of that, I have just wired it direct to the router. I was just wondering why the switch would read it as half duplex.
