Simple way to hide MagicJack and prevent it from popping up

I don't think this has been offered in this forum before but please ignore this if it has been posted already.

This trick is for Windows only.

Download and install this small app called Desktops from Microsoft:

This will allow you to have multiple virtual desktops. It differs from other virtual desktop app as this one works at a lower level with the Windows OS and each desktop is completely independent of the others. Also because of that, you can't send an app from one desktop to another like many others apps do.

Once running, close / kill your MagicJack from the 1st desktop, switch to the 2nd desktop by pressing CTL+2 (configurable hotkey), then start the MagicJack from there so it is attached to 2nd desktop. Then you can switch back to the 1st desktop and forget about the MagicJack. It will silently working in the background only visible when you switch to the 2nd desktop, and you won't see any trace of it from the 1st desktop, no pop up neither.

This should also work with the full screen DirectX games but I didn't test it. Please let us know if you try it.

You can install and use the Free version of this:

That way it stays in the tray all the time and no annoying dialer.
