...and I just got my RMA number.

Mostly, I have to say the MJ worked very well. 9 times out of 10 the calls connected fine and sounded great! If I were a single guy with no family and it was only me using the phone I'd have no issues at all... but I have a 12 yr old boy that just gets very frustrated when there is an echo on the line or a call doesn't connect - SPOILED ROTTEN - but what can I do.

My only "real" beef with the service is that the voicemail never really worked correctly for the 25 days I had it... when it did work I was never notified of a message... no stuttering dial tone and no flashing message waiting light... not even the light on the softphone worked. Plus the fact I couldn't port my number and that caller ID name was not supported... these things all tipped the scales to sending it back and going with another VOIP service that I signed up for today.

I only signed up for the new VOIP for 1 yr, so when that is done, hopefully MJ will be much-improved and I can come back.

thanks for your honest opinion steve and I hope you did not go with vonage because they charged me a cancellation fee of about $38.00+ it is very hard to cancel the service without hearing aprox.1 hour of customer support trying to convince you to keep the service, other than that it is a very stable VOIP service.
Good luck,peace out!
help! I am running out of USB ports!!!!!!!!
Tell me, Mr. Anderson... what good is a phone call... if you're unable to speak?

Well, I hope I haven't made another mistake... but I did some reseach (using VOIP review) and all signs pointed to Phone Power. I signed up with them for 6 months.... its $14.99 per month (much more than MJ!!) but they gave me all the equipment PLUS from what I read - my number will port, msg waiting actually works... all the comforts we've come to know and love. I haven't given up on MJ --- at the end of my 6 months with Phone Power I'd like to try MJ again to see if the kinks have been worked out.
