Fiona: Hello, how may I help you?
Mike: if i purchase a new magicjack, can my existing contract on my old mj be transferred to my new mj?
Fiona: Please be informed that it is not possible to transfer the remaining years of your magicJack to magicJack Plus since they differ on its price.
Mike: ?
Mike: it's still $19.95 a year of 69.95 for 5 years, correct?
Fiona: Yes, that is correct.
Mike: so what's the different price?
Fiona: The one year plan for magicJack Plus is $29.95 while the 5 year plan is $99.75.
Mike: interesting... they don't advertise that part
Fiona: I see.
MJ+ is $29.95 a year... Surprise!!!

This is what I came to find out. I just bought the + and have several months left on the original, (not plus)
From another thread..."And had you taken the time to read here and other MJ forums first you would have read NOT to plug in your new MJ until you chatted FIRST with support. Then you would have had your orig number and time left transfered to the new MJ unit...Amazing huh?? "
So he must have not been talking about transferring from the old one to the +
