Fresh MJ install, first post

Post by MagicPhoneMan »

The install time until I got a ring tone was only 5 minutes, even though the message said "it may take up to 2 hours". I noticed it installs 2 virtual drives and assigns drive letters. So if you have an external swapable drive, make sure its on before installing MJ or it will take the drive letter. I had to go to Disk Management and re-assign everything. So far it sounds like a regular telephone. But people are telling my voice is not as loud as my cellphone, kinda low. I even turned up the volume. If MJ engineers fix this problem then I have no complaints. The speaker volume can get loud, I leave the volume setting 1/3 the way

I totally agree. They say the same thing to me. Your voice is too low. Thats my only complaint. It sounds just like a regular phone

Open the sounds portion of your control panel and click on hardware. You can adjust your voice and audio level there and it will be fine. Right now, it's at the default setting which is little more than a whisper.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.

I already tried that and it didn't work. I hope they release a firmware upgrade that will fix it

well if all the setting are correct and apply everything others have offer, then is a good chance is probably your phone you are using, Have you try to used a different phone ?

I have 2 phone, both wired, but for some reason the 2 line phone I have sound really perfect and loud, I never had any complaint from anyone about my voice sounding low, Only when I used some regular phone I had laying around at first .

I have 2 cheap wired phones that are 15 and 20 years old. I'm gonna go buy a new wired phone and see if it helps. Can anybody recommend a brand?
