One PC - 2 MagicJacks
I have 2 MJ's and want to put them into my PC. Then feed each jack out to my 2-line telephone. One for my Home number and one for my Business number. Is this possible and how?

Technically, it's possible to have more than 1 MJ device in the same PC only if:CalComp wrote:That's odd...... I had a TechChat with MJ this week and they said that you CAN run 2 MJs on one PC. I haven't tried it yet though.....
- the MJ softphone app allows itself to run concurrently with another instant of MJ softphone. I may be wrong here, but currently, MJ softphone app won't allow running more than one instant of itself at the same time. Thus only one MJ device per PC.

is pretty simple to add more then one MJ if you know what you doing and edit 1 or 2 config files, It will work, I only tested when I first got it, to activate both of them, is true as the other posted stated, is not possible to do so for the average user, But if you know you way around computer, then is pretty simple,LikeMagic wrote:Technically, it's possible to have more than 1 MJ device in the same PC only if:CalComp wrote:That's odd...... Why don't you show what you have to do to have 2 MJ devices working in the same PC, not one at a time? There are many technical folks here, I'm sure they will know what you're talking about.thirty5tech wrote:is pretty simple to add more then one MJ if you know what you doing and edit 1 or 2 config files, It will work, I only tested when I first got it, to activate both of them, is true as the other posted stated, is not possible to do so for the average user, But if you know you way around computer, then is pretty simple,LikeMagic wrote:Technically, it's possible to have more than 1 MJ device in the same PC only if:CalComp wrote:That's odd...... hey guys slow down, was ot in the board..gooney wrote:Maybe if someone here have actually tried it with success or no success post the outcome instead of users guessing and spaming without even trying it.
what i mean, is that is you see where the files are pointing to at your user profiles on your computer and magicjack device itself with the autorun option.
Of course some of ya wont see the files if you dont enable show hidden files and folder on your folder option to see the files that are hidden .
of course you have to install one at first, look at the new files and folder it created and the registry. Now I take back the part that say is pretty simple, is not, well for me it was not at first, I was just playing around with the registry.
but you need to see what new changes are being dont to your computer as you are installing the software, you dont have to worried much about the device itself, but only in your computer where the files are being installed and registry, which is what is going to be a big conflic. Im currently going to try this on another computer, the problem is that the 2 device I had were not activated when I did this process, and now they are, so will see if it will work in a different computer now , which it should not make a different anyway ..
OK. I just had another TechChat with MJ and they contradicted what I had been previously told. Here is the 'official' response. Based on this I am now really wary of trying to install my 2nd MJ on the same PC.
Me: Hi. I want to run 2 MJs on one PC. I had a tech chat with someone earlier this week and they said it was possible to do it. However, please look at http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/view ... =9673#9673 and see that it is suggested that to do so requires technical knowledge that I do not have. I have been scared off from trying to put a second one on my PC in case it messes up the first one. What is the OFFICIAL MJ position please on running 2 MJs off one PC?
Maynard: It is not possible to use two magicjacks in one PC.
Me: Are you 100% positive? Like I said, in my last tech chat the person said it WAS ok...
Maynard: Yes I am.
