I fell across this site after more then a week of frustration with MJ. I can call certain phone numbers with no problem. I can not call numbers in the Boston Mass area. The call sounds like it is going thru on my end but the phone never rings at the recipients phone. I know there are answering machines at my kids homes but the phone or the machine never answers.
After 30 secs of ringing i get three distinct busy sounds and then disconnect.
MJ has no reply to my problem. They do say they are working on it. But after a week I am pretty disgusted.
Rikard (Richard) at MJ does say they are working on it.
Does anyone out there know how to fix this problem?
Does anyone have email or phone numbers of the "Bosses)?
I can not reach certain phone numbers in the US

I have a feeling that we all get what we pay for with this gizmo. In the times of expensive long distance some folks got enticed by something called Least Cost Routing (LCR) which turned out often to DAW (Doesn't Always Work) . I was just popping into the forums to see if anyone was having this same difficulty, and it seems there are. I was trying to call Victoria BC. I would venture a guess that once all circuits are busy this is what happens. I was tipped off to this hunch when I noticed that my call didn't go to my sis' voicemail. Other calls I make to other locations work fine. I'd prefer an all circuits busy message.

i had a similar problem last weekend and posted about it here: http://tinyurl.com/3lcl9u . suffered with it for 3 days.
after contacting the owner, it was fixed in about 30 minutes. however rikard was involved in that, so i don't know why your problem calling boston hasn't been fixed as quickly. perhaps the cause is different.

I initially purchased mj for my own use, but that changed when I thought my remote users could use it for calling customers. I bought a few more and put them in the field for testing. This turned out to be a bad business decision. the mj ended up being way too tempermental. I then thought I would take one home and let my kid use it to call her friends... rather than keeping the regular landline tied up. I was again disappointed when I found that my kid couldn't call her best friend that lives 1 mile away! Everytime we try to call her number, we get 2 rings then a busy signal.
I have been so turned off by mj support that I have been afraid to call and inquire about this latest problem. Is it worth calling them for this, or should I just scrap the mj? I hate the thought of scrapping the mj, but it just seems as though it's not ready for everyday use, yet.
Just my .02 cents.

Dial all 10 digits including area code... It's good to search and read the forums... You will find plenty of solutions.boogmeister1 wrote:I initially purchased mj for my own use, but that changed when I thought my remote users could use it for calling customers.
