Does MJ play ads for voicemail??

Read something in a blog post I haven't seen elsewhere before.. if someone is leaving a voicemail does MJ force them to listen to an advertisement before they can? :-/ Has this happened to anyone else? (I dont leave messages on friends MJ so I dont know)

Unless this is something new, in the 3 1/2 years I have used MJ I have never heard an ad prior leaving a VM on a friends MJ. BUT with MJ anything is possible..

I did some hi-tech problem-solving and called my MJ from my cell. I don't have a personalized greeting. All it says is that the MJ customer is not available and to leave a message, or something like that.

I do still have one person who calls and is told I don't have long-distance service and is told to call the magicTalk number to get me. And there may be some crap in there about getting magicTalk or magicJack. But that has nothing to do with the voice-mail system.

I did another test call blocking my cell number via *67. I was subjected to a brief magicTalk ad to visit magicTalk.com (which takes you to magicJack.com) before being told that the number could not be completed as dialed because the caller ID was being blocked or incorrectly being delivered by my carrier.

Edit: The odd thing, to me anyway, is that the blocked calls (I did a few more to confirm) did not get deducted from my pre-paid cell minutes. It kept showing it was calling the number the whole time I was listening to the recording.
