Magicjack works great for me but caller cant hear me well.

Post by mark40511 »

I've tried 4 phones. Every time I call someone the call goes through great. I can hear them wonderfully, but they are always asking me to speak up because they say my voice is so low. If I call and leave someone a voice mail and re listen to my message, it is indeed very low and I'm talking into the phone. On the soft phone I have the mic all the way up. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem as you described. Went through all the possible scenarios and still no fix. Finally sent the MJ back for a replacement which took less than a week and the volume on the other end is much better. Not sure it was the MJ or the new area code number being used but my guess is the MJ. I tried the old MJ on several different computers even different internet connections and couldn't fix it until I got a new one. Good Luck!!!!

well, since I posted this I tried something. I have a headset hooked to my computer.. People can hear me great now. But if I'm on the cordless phone using magicjack, they say im really low. Funny, because that cordless phone didn't do that at all when I had landline service. But I cant get over how much better people can hear me on this headset.

Go into your control panel and open your sound option. Choose hardware and then microphone. Turn up the sensitivity in the volume box. The same applies to the audio in the telephone.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.
