MJPLUS static during calls.....
I have static and sometimes bad echoes during calls.........how do I fix that? I have a Uverse router and was searching online trying to figure out how to open more ports if that helps. I never found the answer to that but I moved the phone base to another room and still the same.

I also had this problem but only when someone else is using the internet at the same time I was making a call on the magicJack but back then I had Verizon DSL 768k speed. Now that I have Verizon FIOS it works better no crackling calls at all.
Check that make sure no one else is using the internet when you are if you have WiFi someone might be stealing your internet and makes your calls sound bad. Check those things make sure if you have WiFi that your wifi connection is encrypted. Do you have old phones? Is you phone line that connects from your magicJack to your phone old or crack.....

Yea I found that but where it says select computer do I select my router? I do not have it plugged in to my computer so selecting it to port forward would be useless right?MJUSER_007 wrote:Direct link for magicJack port forwarding :

Static on line. Quick and inexpensive fix
Purchased a MJ+ 2 weeks ago and had nothing but static on the line. Came across a suggested "solution" to plug MJ+ directly into a powered USB hub. Thought I'd try it out. Happened to have a Belkin 4 port powered hub in my house that I was not using. Plugged my MJ+ directly into it and... SUCCESS! Absolutely no static and perfectly clear calls.
