I got mjPlus and had no trouble setting it up, and tmobile switched my number over fine, but I do seem to be getting some obnoxious calls from across the country, some spanish language telemarketer. I know there is some software that will block calls for magicJack, but I wasn't sure if it would work on the 'plus' version.
I've been searching the database, but I'm not sure what is reputable and what might work. I would love a way to block some of these calls, and wouldn't mind paying for a good program.
Thankyou in advance for any help.

Re: Call Blocker for MagicJackPlus ??
Search this forum for MagicFeatures ( or just go here http://www.pcphonesoft.com/ )as it will do what you want BUT since it is software based you have to have your Plus plugged into your PC's USB port in order for it to work. I know of no other program to do what you wish while the Plus is plugged into your router.duckfeet wrote:I got mjPlus and had no trouble setting it up, and tmobile switched my number over fine, but I do seem to be getting some obnoxious calls from across the country, some spanish language telemarketer. Register your number with the "Do Not Call" list. See:
https://donotcall.gov/
Although it won't stop this type of call immediately, in the long term it could help.
In the meantime, when you get one of these calls, a "phrase that pays" is "put me on your do not call list." (Don't know how to say that in Spanish.) Supposedly if a telemarketer calls you after being told not to, there are penalties (enforced by whom, I don't know, but it is worth a shot).

thanks to you both for the help: I had already registered that number on the do not call list, but I will revisit and file a complaint a against the number--which is in Delaware.
I also downloaded magicfeatures and installed that on my laptop, and at first I didn't think it was working, as I can't get the speed-dial to work, but I found that the call blocking *did* work, and it immediately hung up on any number I put in the call blocking list, so that appears to be working fine.
So again, much appreciate the help, and for others who are using magicJack plus, the call blocking feature--on magicfeatures--is working fine, on Windows 7, 64 bit set up...also, the fact that speed dial--as yet--does not work, might be the fault of the type of phone I am using it with. Good Grief,
I thought I was feeding starving overseas children............ My bad.
Maybe it's the traveling troll from the TV ads...........
And I have seen his word-ful postings appearing under other threads now too. with exuberant gibberish for entertainment.
But it is an appropriate warning for those so inclined to want one!
