Message alert?

Post by rickwhoo »

It says in the my.magicjack.com subscriptions page that if I check the box, I will get VOICE MESSAGE INDICATOR
Play distinctive (stutter) dial tone when a new voice message is waiting
*NOTE: This feature is available when your magicJackPLUS is NOT plugged into your computer.

Does this work? I am trying it and it wont work

Not all phones support it..... Some phones have a VM icon on the screen and some have a light and others have all three ( stutter, icon and light.)
Check the owners manual for your phone...

My phone has all three. Im on a chat with MJ. I'm on the second person trying to resolve this and its getting nowhere. They don't know too much. They say they will senf it to the engineers and they will get back to me. I'm not sure about this with these people.

Maybe try a different Cat 5 cable, as the one which comes with the Plus isnt exactly the best quality.
Also I "ASSUME" you have powered cycled the Plus and maybe even the router and tried again. Also sometimes the VM indicator is not instant, all depends on how busy their servers are.

I am also having the same issue with Panasonic cordless phone connected to MJ+ going through the Router. Port 5060 and 5070 has been forwarded to the MJ+. I have checked the distinctive stutter option in the advanced options on my MJ portal. Is there something I am missing? Anyone have the VM indicator working?
