Magic Jack Plus?

I am wanting to know.
Can I use a fax machine with Magic Jack plus?
Also are there any local phone numbers in my area that I can sign up for if I decide to buy this?
I live in the 906 area code and the City I live in is Escanaba Michigan?
Exchanges in my area through At&t are 428, 233, 789, 786,
Also does the Magic Jack generate a dial tone?
Please if anyone could write back and let me know.

Faxing with MJ is hit or miss at best. It works for some but not for others ( search IS you friend in this forum)
As far as the exchanges you asked about, MJ has an FAQ on their web page which lists what are available. It may not be current though as number and exchange availabily can change daily depending on how many people in a given time are choosing them. Yes when you pick up the phone which is connected to the MJ you get a dial tone...

Ok thanks that's what I wanted to know.
Looks like all the numbers they have are all in the Detroit area non in Northern Michigan.

If you cant find an exchange you want you can always get a FREE Google Voice number ( if they have the exchange you want of course) and set it up, when called, to then call your MJ number. Really works well.
