cannot forward google voice to magicjack

Post by brit »

For some reason I cannot forward google voice to magicjack both regular and plus version.
I managed to verify the magicjack through google voice but when I call it does not ring but eventually goes to google voice mail. Calling magicjack direct works fine. After some research on the web I found a lot of people had the same problem in 2009/2010 time period but no solutions, it apparently cleared up on its own.

I also have a nettalk and that work fine, but I can only get the nettalk to work via USB on a netbook using XP, although it works fine on a Ethernet cable but I will not have access to a router where I am going.

Does any body have a solution to this problem as I will be traveling to the UK in a few weeks and wanted to be able to receive local calls.

Maybe depending on the timing of your trip. The GVJack App will be released on February 15th and will fully convert your regular MJ dongle over to Google Voice.

Once the GVJack App is installed on your computer, plug in your regular MJ dongle and login using your Gmail e-mail address and password and away you go.

Just pick up your phone handset and dial the number you wish to call or answer the phone when it rings using the Google Voice network.

If you ever decide to use the MJ network again, just close out the GVJack App on your computer and plug back in your MJ dongle.

How does this GVjack App work with a magicjack plus.

I am leaving at the end of Febuary and would like to know how this App works before we leave.

Thanks Brit

The GVJack App is for use with any new, used or expired original regular MJ dongle plugged into the USB port of a computer.

You will be able to download the GVJack App from the PCPhoneSoft.com and try out the full version for up to 7 days to make sure it meets your needs prior to purchase. Check the website on February 15th.

The one time GVJack App software purchase price will be significantly less than a standard 1 year magicJack subscription.

The standard GVJack App package also contains lots of features not currently offered by magicJack including 7 digit dialing, caller name, call waiting caller id and voice mail waiting light on/off. These are in addition to all the extra cool built in features offered by Google Voice.

I have about 50 magicjacks that I will love to separate from the awful magicjack admin. I hope they don't need anything like a password because they are hard to extract any more from chat reps. I've sold so many used and new magicjacks on ebay. They should make me a regional salesman of the month hat. Here goes again.

2. dumb Q s for you....

1. How will it interfere with current MfP if we want to use that app as well? I guess you may have all the MfP features in the new app and more.

2. Can a regular current MJ (old ver.) and a old not current subscribed MJ unit(+your new app) work together? I guess not!
