Contacts not saved .. no way to use call log
Yesterday I saved several calls to my Contact List. Today they're not there. Go to server. Contact list is empty. I have some calls in the log, but there's no way to do anything with them. There's no means to manually add to contacts unless there's a number to click on as far as I know.
Anyone know a work-around other than buying some addon?
Even though there are some calls in the log on the server, when I click on Calls in the soft phone, it only shows my number. Something is busted!

On the menu on the softphone, by clicking on "menu" or right clicking on an empty spot on the softphone, halfway down should be an "add contacts" tab that works like a charm. If it's not there, something is wrong and I would un and re install the program.kewlbreez wrote: There's no means to manually add to contacts unless there's a number to click on as far as I know.

It's there if there are calls. I can right click a call and add it as a contact. But tomorrow when I boot up, it's gone. I went on the server. No contacts are saved there. So there's nothing to download.nailgunner wrote:On the menu on the softphone, by clicking on "menu" or right clicking on an empty spot on the softphone, halfway down should be an "add contacts" tab that works like a charm. So if you click on "menu" on the top right of the softphone, one of the options is not "Add Contacts..."? If it's there, I would try adding a contact via that method, being sure to hit save, to see if that makes a difference. If it's not there, or if it doesn't make a difference, as mentioned earlier, I would un-install and re-install the program.kewlbreez wrote:It's there if there are calls. If there are no numbers in the list, Add Contact is grayed out. If there are numbers in the list, I can saved them.. but they are not there or on the server on next program run. This is twice I explained the same information. If you're going to post about my issue I wish you would at least read what you quoted.nailgunner wrote:So if you click on "menu" on the top right of the softphone, one of the options is not "Add Contacts..."? won't save on server
Ok, so I found out if I type in a number and stop it before it dials, I can add it to Contacts. But this does me no good because every time I try to connect to the server, the page is down. It's really lame there's no way to save a local copy. Since I've had this, the web response has been what I can only describe as broken. Took me 3 days to get it so I could accept incoming calls.
The price is right. But it's wicked frustrating to do simple things.

So now it says Add!!
Now that I have some Contacts in the list, there's an Add in the Menu to add some more. But I have no way to know if this effort will be erased as soon as I close the app. It's pretty flaky software.
Nevermind
Nevermind. Seems to be one of those deals where you just have to keep hammering it. I managed to close and open the soft phone with contacts there. I have to assume even though I couldn't go to MyMagicJack page, the info was saved... I hope.
Re: Nevermind
That's what I figured. A reboot and it's all gone. Text file and text editor is going to stay as my phone book I guess.kewlbreez wrote:Nevermind. Re: Nevermind
Since it doesn't sound like you have tried it, for the third, and last, time, I would un-install and then re-install the program to see if that helps. If you have a regular MJ, all you need to do after un-installing is plug the device back in. I assume the same procedure works for the Plus.kewlbreez wrote:That's what I figured. It's just flaky.
It's just flaky. Sometimes if I shut down the soft phone, then run it again, the contacts pop up. Sometimes not. Apparently now it's saving to the server when it feels like it.
Only sure way is text file.
