Google Voice Malfunctioning

Just today I couldn't get it to phone me back 6pm and later or if it would there was a very long delay. Could it be pre-Valentine's Day overload or just a hitch? Has it worked for you immediately like normal?

The next day GV was back to normal, but today it isn't working again. Not even a recorded weather number locally will it function for. This is very upsetting as I use this service as an alternative to blocking the call id of my number from going out to untrustworthy callees. Without GV I can't call them. Please respond with your theory and report on whether your GV is working.

My GV with my OBi 100 is working just fine....
Try this.. Call your GV number from another phone, enter your PIN ( if you have it set up that way) hit #2 and then see if you can dial a number.. Just a work around till things clear up for you

Like Joe, I haven't been having any problems. Sometimes, however, just for fun I'll go through Google Chat just to ensure everything is doing what it is supposed to. That way you can call out direct instead of having it come back to you through the web browser.

In addition to Joe's workaround above, you could also download redpepper's GVapp for your Magic Jack dongle and test it there as well.

Thanks for the replies, but this was my fault yesterday. I failed to opt for home versus Google Talk. Feb. 13 it actually wasn't working, though. I'll keep your ideas in mind.
