I shut down my computer every night. When I start the computer the next day MJ won't start, no LED light goes on. Then I have to go through all the gyrations to get MJ to start up. Sometimes I unplug the MJ and wait 1 minute then reconnect. If that doesn't work then I try the recover software and that sometimes works.
Why is MJ so inconsistent? Ideally when you start your computer, MJ should always launch automatically every time. Is this a pipe dream? I have had MJ since July 2007 and there has been no improvement and still waiting for the impossible dream...the area codes.

I turn off my computer every night also and mj won't start for me the next day either. I alway have to 'restart' my computer and that usually works every time. I'm dreaming of an area code and call forwarding for Christmas (if not before)...I sure will be glad when they get it together.sligg wrote:I shut down my computer every night. Nevertheless, I'm keeping my landline until the reliability improves.
I will try that. But this is a nuisance if you don't have access to MJ. I used to have MJ plugged in the back of my computer which means I would have to pull it away from the wall. Now I'm using a USB cable and it sits on top of the computer case. MJ "certainly" has the reliability of a land line phone.

My MJ is plugged into my weather compter that stays on 24/7 even though I have the weather program reboot the computer every day at 1 AM, MJ is always ready when I'm ready to use it (except for the 911 address) Other than that it's been near flawless.billmcf wrote:I unplug the MJ before I shut down.
