Canadian Renewal Issues

This is more of a 'wondering if anyone else had this issue' rather than 'can you help me solve it' thread.

My father is trying to renew his sub. for MJ. neither of us has a credit card so we get the prepaid cards from Visa or Mastercard. Worked last year!

Dad is trying to renew and he keeps getting a "We are not able to process your payment method." error. First he tried with Visa. When he called Visa they said you needed to have and extra 15 dollars on the card in order for us to process the payment. He went out and bought a $50 Mastercard and he's coming up with the same error.

Has anyone had this issue? If so, what did you do? It's really getting harder and harder to deal with MJ.

Even Paypal has their issues LOL. But I get what you are saying. It's frustrating really. I know it's not MJ in general, but Visa and Mastercard. It makes not sense at all either. You buy a $25 dollar card you should be able to use the entire $25.

Even when you rent a room here, you have to have an extra $100 they put on hold in order for the payment to go through.

Most probably, MJ system is no longer accepting prepaid and gift cards this time because when I renewed my MJ license last January, it didn't let me renew using those cards but a credit card. I don't know what happened since it's working last year.
