just started recently. i have reset and rebooted my modem. thinking about taking phone and mj to son's house to test both on his line. ???

check on the lights first on the magicjack plus device if it has the 3 lights on. Blue light for the power, yellow for the ethernet connection, and green for the telephone line connection. If it's not on then you did not connect it properly. If the problem still exists and the 3 lights is on then contact the live chat they can give you an upgrade link then upgrade the software on the device then it will work.

you may also chat with an operator and ask them to refresh your connection
