Any thoughts on win2000 work around

I bought it for a home phone. Works great on my laptop when i'm out on the road. But when i hook it up to my desk top running win2000 i get a dial tone but the software dosn't load. other software? any hacks?

Any help welcome

This doesn't make sense to me. If the software doesn't load you should not have a dialtone. Have you tried to make a call?

Thanks for your reply. I had it pluged into a powered usb hub. I may try to hook directly to my computer. MJ says it is not compatible with win2000 but when i got a dial tone i figured it was partly working. but calls do not go through. I will post when i get a chance to hook directly to a usb port on the computer.

Be sure you dial all numbers with 10 digits. I have had calls not go through when only dialing 7 digits.

Have not had any success w/ w2k since January. Best surest bet is upgrade to XP..........
