Gabriela: I am transferring you to one of our top 10% agents as rated by our customers. Please hold while I transfer you.

Please wait while I transfer the chat to the best suited site operator.

You are now chatting with 'Jamie'

Your Issue ID for this chat is LTK00000000000000

scotty: hi Jamie

Jamie: Hello. My name is Jamie. To better assist you, let me put you on hold while I read your previous chat/s. Thank you.

scotty: ok

Jamie: Thank you.

scotty: your welcome

Jamie: One moment please...

Jamie: Thank you for patiently waiting, Scotty.

Jamie: Let me tell you that we no longer accept prepaid cards since most prepaid cards do not come with a PIN, that's why, if you choose DEBIT in the payment options your transaction will be declined.

scotty: it a mastercard not DEBIT card

scotty: i was told a few day ago i can use them by a top 10

Jamie: It's a prepaid card, right/

scotty: prepaid master card

scotty: it work as for online payments

scotty: it the only way i can ever pay !

Jamie: Ok. MagicJack doesn't accept Prepaid Cards.

scotty: they did last year

Jamie: It's just updated recently.

Lucky you. Finally you get the chance to switch to a decent VOIP service and get away from the MJ addiction.

I think like most things with MJ and their customer service something might have been lost in the translation.

To me the clue on the confusion is shown when he says "if you choose DEBIT in the payment options your transaction will be declined". There is no reason to choose debit. I think if you choose CREDIT, you should be all set.

If you are that concerned about it, I would just attempt the transaction a month before your service expires, or even now for that matter. They give you the full year regardless of how early you renew, at least they used to.
