Several days ago I tried to sign up for a MagicJack at their site. Everything seemed to be working fine after I supplied my credit card information, except, I never received a confirmation nor any other communication from the people at MagicJack.
Given that the site has no telephone number or email address and no way to get in touch with them except through an absolutely ridiculous chat box that did not work in three tries (at different times of the day), I was able to finally get a hold of the CEO and owner's e-mail address, to register my concern. NOTHING! Not a peep.
And so, after two days I called my CC company, told them of the problem and immediately canceled my credit card.
So far that is the extent of my experience with MagicJack. As far as I'm concerned it is either an extraordinarily badly run company or a fraud of the highest order.
I will continue with Vonage... that, although a bit pricey, it has worked going on two years without a hitch.
I will also wait for one of two things to happen:
1 - If a scam, wait for the federal prosecutors to arrest everyone involve with the MagicJack.
2 - If not a scam wait several years until the Magicjack hires a competent board.
In the meantime, I suggest that the CEO and everyone in management is fired.
Those of you who say you have a MagicJack... keep it in a safe place because I think it will soon become a collectors item, as the company (if one exists) goes under.

Try calling the number: 561-722-0433 (listed on their Better Business Bureau Page) or 561-586-3380 (listed here).mcquicker wrote:Several days ago I tried to sign up for a MagicJack at their site. I never received confirmation of my order in any way shape or form. The jack did arrive safely after 5 days or so...mcquicker wrote:And so, after two days I called my CC company, told them of the problem and immediately canceled my credit card.
Well, lets face it, if magicJack had a wonderful support network, this forum would not be as popular as it is.mcquicker wrote:So far that is the extent of my experience with MagicJack. As far as I'm concerned it is either an extraordinarily badly run company or a fraud of the highest order.
