"Soon." Now, as to how long that means? I don't even think YMax knows that. I'm curious to know whether it's a regulatory thing or whether it's a matter of building up the network and boils down to an investment return.

My grandmother used to say patience is a virtue. Given how long I've been waiting for an Oklahoma number, I should be a king by the time I get one. In the meantime, just enjoy your new toy and how much money it will save while you wait for your local number. That's how I decided to look at it and it did make it a little easier for me to bear.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.

If you call a US or Canadian landline from MJ, there is no charge for either you or the called party.
If you call a US or Canadian cell phone from MJ, there is no charge to you, but the called party may be charged airtime depending on his plan, time of day, etc. The charge, if any, should be the same as what he would pay if he received the call from someone local to him.

If someone calls your MJ, there is no charge to you but the caller will pay whatever charges apply for him to call New York, or wherever your MJ number is.

Unless your Internet provider charges you based on bandwidth, there should be no additional Internet charges for using MJ. If they do, MJ uses 80 to 100 kilobits per second, both upstream and downstream.
