Uninstall MJ

Post by huongvvo2007 »

Hey,

I have uninstalled MJ through my PC Add/Remove Programs function. Windows has stated that MJ has been completely uninstalled. However, When I run a search for 'magicjack' 5 .EXE files turn up in a windows/prefetch folder?

What is this prefetch folder? I know several sources say it is a self maintaining folder that refers to certain programs for faster startup. Does this mean that the MJ files will remain on my hard drive??

HELP PLEASE!

Thank you in advance.

Feel free to delete them if you're certain they are MJ files.
Using a "standard" magicJack, an "original" magicJack Plus, and the magicJack iOS app on an iPod Touch and iPhone

From microsoft:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... tch-folder
The prefetch folder is a subfolder of the Windows system folder. The prefetch folder is self-maintaining, and there's no need to delete it or empty its contents. If you empty the folder, Windows and your programs will take longer to open the next time you turn on your computer.
There's no point in deleting stuff in the prefetch folder. If you have uninstalled magicJack software, the prefetch folder will notice it and delete the associated prefetch data for the next windows startup.
