Hello,
looking for some help please. I have had my MJ for about 4 years now and TWICE this has happened. The first time it either "fixed itself" or one of the MANY things I tried fixed it, not sure which one, since I tried so many things for days...
For the last year or so it works great sending all voice mails to my @work domain name. But all of a sudden it stopped sending them...? If I change the email address to send them to, to my @comcast email address, they come through fine? change back to my usual @work one, nothing...?
Last time I spent countless hours with MJ customer service, elevated to level II etc. and all they really did was tell me to update my software, reboot, yada, yada, yada... and then, "magically" about a week later, it started working again.
Any ideas? Any help MUCH appreciated!
Thank you,
John
MJ won't email voicemail to 1 address but will to another?

Check your spam filter system for your work address. Do you have a spam box you can check? Have you whitelisted the magicJack address that sends notifications?

Hello Greenman, thanks for the help. YES, I checked the spam folder, nothing. They just aren't' sending for some reason? It has to be some kind of conflict between the MJ jack email service and my work domain? But like I said, it's worked great otherwise for years, emailing EVERY voice mail right to my @work domain. But it goes skitz (twice now) and will mail to other @domains but NOT my work one. I even set up a brand new temporary@work email account and it wouldn't send to it either???

If you have access to other domains, set up a forward address that using a different domain name and forward it to your work address and your home address. You could also set the forward to go to your wife or significant other's email addressSuaveGato wrote:But it goes skitz (twice now) and will mail to other @domains but NOT my work one.
mjmessage@mydomain forwards to: me@home, wifey@home, me@work.
That way one email address takes care of everyone who needs to know the message.
Mischief managed?

MJ's voicemail-to-email service does seem to have its "peculiarities," at least lately. If I place a call from my MJ number to another MJ number, the recipient's phone displays my MJ number when their phone rings but their email notification of any voicemail message that I leave states that it was from "unknown." But if I do the same from a non-MJ number (say for example my cell phone) the email message that they receive includes the number that I called from. Go figure...
Using a "standard" magicJack, an "original" magicJack Plus, and the magicJack iOS app on an iPod Touch and iPhone
Thanks for the help/info. folks. Once again, it just mysteriously started working again...? What a PITA, cuz I never know when it goes down until I realize I haven't gotten a message email in a while, then I check and CRAP, it's been down for X days or a week...
Oh well, you get what ya pay fer right?
Thanks
