For some reason, magicJack
reversed the line polarity, counter to over a hundred years of phone standards. Why would they do that?
I used a Gardner/Bender line polarity tester to confirm.
Any ideas?

Same thing with mine. I wonder why they would do this. Unless its a defect and that's why they had them on sale to loyal customers.

I suspect it's either for a very clever reason or an incredibly unfortunate oversight. It can't be both.
