Is the app now $10?

My app renewal for my iPhone is coming up on 12/31/13. On the renewal screen it says "upgrade for $10." Is there now a charge for the app? By the way I'm still using a MJP 2012 (not the new wifi 2014).

that's what it looks like to me...I added it to my Android device, and it took over the whole phone, so I dumped it, but MJ still has it listed on my account, and I'll just let it disappear, BUT watch what happens to all those subscribers who have their auto renew set up....they'll all get billed the $10 and like me, never use it or need it!!!! Another reason to never setup auto renew with your MJ account.

I just renewed my iPhone app and I didn't have to pay the $10. They had a choice of the "basic" or the "$10 upgrade." I chose the basic. I'm not sure what comes with the $10 upgrade. This is a screen shot of the order page (I hope it uploads).

for the extra $10 you get a US phone number - instead of the "MagicNumber"

Mine expired too, and when I went to renew, it gave me the same screen. If you look at the basic features you don't get PSTN calling, so you can only call other MagicJack customers.

I upgraded to MagicJack Plus 2014 and I thought this was included with the purchase. Did I just pay $10 for no reason?

It is free.
You just have to renew it.

Click the Stay basic!
If you pay you get a new US number.

ALSO!!

You can only have so many devices signed up.
You have to contact them to remove the old devices.
