Porting out

Post by sleepintill2 »

I'm thinking about giving Ooma a try once the Ooma Telo comes out. The thing is: I like my MJ phone number, and would like to use it w/ Ooma. I know you can NOT port a number to MJ yet, but has anyone tried to port a number away from MJ. If so did it work?

Well, you have been a member here long enough to already know the answer to your question.

As a fourteen month member of this forum, you already know that exactly one person is in the process of trying and that his prospects are slim.

So, why open a new thread on the same topic?

If i knew the answer to my question I would not have needed to ask. In all my fourteen months I never read of this one person or his porting prospects. I did search for topics on porting out, I did not find any, if you know of such a thread can you please point it out to me.

A simple search turned up more than a few threads. This one is the most thorough of the bunch. It was begun in October, well after you joined, and has enjoyed recent activity, as well.

You should know you are not going to be able to port out a number when magicJack won't let you port in a number.

So when is MJ going to allow porting?

i want to dump by Vonage fees and need the numbers since I have had one of them for many many years.

How can we go about getting MJ to respond to the needs of the consumers out here??
