I purchased MJ in July 2007 with an extra year of service. When I log into my MJ online account it shows "Licence active through Aug 01 2008". I "chatted" with customer support, who claimed that this expiration would show until Aug 2008, then it would automatically extend to Aug 2009.

I got the impression that I was just being buzzed off. So has anyone who bought more than the initial year of service seen the extended licensing date show up on their online account?

It should show the extra year. I had the same problem and kept bugging them every day until they fixed it. Overall, it took about a week.

I wonder why it took you so long to take action

I had not noticed it before now because I never checked. I just noticed that call forwarding was available and to go to my.magicjack.com to use it. Upon going there just to check it out, I noticed the expiration date.

Anyway, yesterday I emailed [email protected] and got an answer a couple of hours later. According to them, they have the accurate information on my account, but claim that they are still updating some of the accounts through the web site.

I'll hang on to the email and my chat log and see what happens come Aug 1.

After my experience, it's been one of those too many cooks spoil the stew kind of deal. I'd get an email saying that I purchased the extension license, but not the magicjack every other day, but then when I went to tech support, they said I was good through 2010. Now, which continent or continents these two people were on I can't say. Once they finally got together, the problem was fixed within a couple of days. It's all a matter of getting the two parts (ordering and support) to work harmoniously.
