I edited your post to remove the expletives; they are not permitted here.

Are you in Mexico? If so, I'm not familiar with Telecable -- perhaps they are blocking the ports you need.

Did your unit ever work? If so, where? On the same or different computer? What kind of cable modem do you have? Router, if any? Software firewall?

Try testing to Boston at http://www.testyourvoip.com/ . Score? Message about ports blocked?

Well I had the same problem for one whole day and I went to CONTROL PANEL and clicked on WINDOWS FIREWALL then turned my firewall off and it automatically started working again. If you turn your FIREWALL off and you see that you are still receiving the same shitty problem then try turning off all your ANTI VIRUS' for a minute and try again. If so then its your ANTI-VIRUS software blocking your connection with MAGICJACK.

I'm having the same problem right now in area 360-I just talked to the tech people-they said they were doing work on the phone and it was on their end-this really sucks -I need the thing working all the time!

Well i read someone else with the same problem with Area code 360. What they said to that person is to wait it out a bit like about a week. Magic Jack is new so there WILL be some bugs and if they are going to make money they will definetly get that fixed soon. If not then u might wanna try returning if and check this website later on n check to see if its fixed yet or not.

Error 3 msg

Post by stemah »

I had the error 3 message "not connected to the internet". Went to the website, clicked on the Magic Fix, it didn't work, then on the next page there is another tab to click if the first fix didn't work. Clicked on the tab, downloaded the upgrade and my problem is resolved. I went all day without service and two sessions with the techs. Try it.

Probably cause they are upgrading or fixing the VOIP server.

I usually just redirect to another MJ server.

here's more about it...
