MagicJack working with Direttv - Making its daily call

I tried using my MJ with Directtv to make its daily calls. However, the directtv receiver always responds with connection failed.

On the softphone, I can see that the call is being dialed, connected for about 40sec, then the call ends. The message on the Directtv screen then says Connection Failed.

Can someone, offer a tip to get this part working?

No luck, however, I did find on another post that I should try using the dsl filter that is installed on the other phone that I have. So, I will give that a try and repost my results.

I'm posting this reply so I learn if it worked or not. I've ordered a DSL filter/splitter for my DishTV. I've posted the issue in Tech Forum here.

my tivo works fine; no dsl filter or anything but a triplex jack connected to the mj with my new d.e.c.t. 6.0 phone system with 2 other handset bases along with a fax machine hooked up to it . Maybe its just magic luck....(get it)
