Not working on HP Laptop

I've spent an hour with MJ support on the phone and this problem could not be resolved. It actually pops up on my screen but then says to insert MJ into a USB port. It will bring up the DialPad, just fine, with the advertising on the left side, however, the top center window says "Please connect to the internet and double-click here"

I finally emailed Dan and he put their super tech on the problem. We actually set a time and date for him to connect to my computer and take if over remotely. He checked everything and spent 30-60 minutes on it. He ran some type of diagnostics on it which made a report he sent to their engineers. About 3 days later, I recieved this message back from that tech:
"Received the resluts from the engineers working on the bug report we submitted. Apparently this is a conflict between the magicJack and network cards with long names. They are actively trying to fix this and should have an upgrade out in about two weeks that will take away this problem and allow your magicJack to connect on the Vista computer it is not connecting on now."
I recieved that email on 4/14/08. I'm guessing they are still working on the problem. I have another Vista machine and 2 XP desktops that it works on just fine. The issue is to get it to work if I'm traveling with my laptop.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
