Anybody up for a spoofer app that can work on any linux system...
This is what I am dreaming!!! for:
I was able to patch PAP2v2 firmware from RTP300 using the beautiful instructions by GrauerFuchs from http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r19868031- (very good thread with good info about VoIP and firmware...)
Now...it looks like one could put any app we want and put in firmware and make it to start (I think some tweaking required) and let this app take care of Spoofing and not to have a computer on! may be app can read from a .txt file to read your info required (number etc.,) which we can put before creating firmware (or) someway to putting on PAP2v2 using SSH

I am using a Netgear FVS-338 VPN Router. It uses the Redboot loader and naturally is linux based. A while back I installed perl 5 into the firmware that I had compiled from GPL code available on the netgear website. Using the spoofer perl script I saw posted in this forum I was able to run it on my router thereby allowing a pap2 or any other device take advantage of spoofing.
As a final note in case I didn't make it obvious enough, the perl script is platform independent. In many distros of linux it will run as is.
This wasn't exactly an easy task so I won't post a step-by step especially since it requires that you compile code using a specially built toolchain. I am just suggesting what is possible with some creative thinking.

I was just thinking the same thing (more or less) I have multiple routers with dd-wrt running on them and would love for someone to convert the script so that it could be easily installed and run on one the these said routers. It would totally eliminate the need for the PC and would give me another reason to praise open source software and coders
I have a wireless bridge running dd-wrt. I might, time permitting see what is involved. It doesn't seem like it would be difficult at all. It just depends on the perl support already present within dd-wrt. Off the top of my head you could try and cut-n-paste the script to the external command window in dd-wrt and see if it runs.

I'll be away from home all weekend but if anyone attempts this let me know how it goes. I would love to only use the PC when I have to and shut it down all other times. What I would really like would be for someone to configure me a 2 line asterisk set up to run of a fonera but no one seems to like the idea of that, even lightly compensated for the time
