Why do I have to dial the area code...?

Post by HitTheBong420 »

I understand that to dial out of your local area code you need to dial the 10-digit number (***)-123-4567, but for as long as I can remember, I've never had to dial 10-digits to reach any local numbers on my land lines... it was always 7-digits and it would connect.

Is there a fix for this on magicjack?

MagicJack would have to implement 7 digit dialing on their servers for this to work. Some people in different area codes have reported that they can do seven digit dialing. Try contacting tech support, and when that doesn't work, send an e-mail to [email protected] and request 7 digit dialing for your area code.

I used to be able to dial the local numbers without area code until today. This is a pain in the butt. I just sent Dan an email about it and hopefully they will put it back the way it used to be.
